Transportation in Little Rock

Little Rock keeps it simple: a car is king. But you do have choices. The city's Rock Region METRO buses cover the main arteries with frequent service downtown and to the university area; a day pass is cheap and the easiest way to avoid parking meters. Rideshare apps work well for short hops, and the downtown streetcar loop is free, good for a quick sightseeing circuit between the River Market and the Clinton Library. If you're staying outside the core, plan on driving or budgeting for rideshares, as bus frequency drops sharply in the suburbs. For the airport run, skip the rental counter if you're staying central. The Route 20 bus links Clinton National to downtown in about 25 minutes and costs a fraction of a taxi. After midnight, rideshare is the only game in town, head to the designated pickup zone outside baggage claim and avoid the lone curbside "taxi" that isn't on the official stand.
